ELLICOTT 370 DRAGON HYDRAULIC CUTTER SUCTION DREDGE (Ref#4185b)
Built 2002, Built longer than full length side tanks to extend the hull to 48’ LOA and 21’ WOA, they connect to the existing hull with Ellicott OEM hook and socket connections at the bottom (similar to the 670 model) and bolted connections above deck. Perimeter of deck fitted with 1.5” speed rail. The added width of dredge has more than double usable deck space and is more stable in moderate seas and has approx 4’ additional freeboard. Removeable ladder extension added to allow 42’ depth (this required additional of A-frame with catwalk and ladder winch). When in the 20’ digging configuration the dredge utilizes the factory ladder cylinder and the A-frame and winch in the 42’ configuration. A section was added to the factory hydraulic pump to power a carriage cylinder on an idler barge (or other aux hydraulic component). (2) sets of spuds 35’ and 50’. Engine was replaced in 2020 with a Cat C15. Factory AC was replaced with a domestic 110V unit. 110V deck lighting and receptacles installed in lever room for onboard electronics (generator required based on KW needed).
